KS Outdoor proximity reader - volo (black)

volo is a device that, when connected to KS-BUS, allows the user to manage the activation/deactivation of the Ksenia Security System and, more generally, the activation/deactivation of various scenarios programmed for Home Integration, using mini-Tags and/or NFC-enabled smartphones.

It can be installed either directly on the wall (vertically) or screwed onto Box DIN 503 (with an optional black frame). The device is equipped with a 5-color LED (red, green, blue, yellow, white) and each of them can be associated with a customizable scenario. Activating a scenario is very simple: by approaching a valid Tag or NFC-enabled phone to the Proxy reader, the LED lights up in the color associated with the possible scenario, automatically suggesting the most likely choice first. To activate the desired scenario, remove the Tag or phone when the LED lights up in the color relating to that scenario: as confirmation, the LED will remain lit with the same color for another 3 seconds. Its discreet design allows volo to be installed in any interior.

This device has been developed with an innovative tamper-proof system (against wall removal and opening): an accelerometer. This makes it possible to avoid mechanical switches and the related risk of wear, outdoor moisture infiltration, and to use it as a seismic detector with programmable sensitivity. Its plastic casing and the PCB protective treatment (full immersion in epoxy resin) allow for outdoor installation without further protection.
