Raytec's market-leading IR panels are a must in many camera installations, especially outdoors, to ensure usable images in darkness. The IR light is invisible to the human eye, but a camera with "true" night vision (mechanical IR filter) can capture the light and generate an image good enough to distinguish details even in the darkest environments. Another advantage of using IR light is that the camera can use a faster shutter speed, thus generating sharper images and maintaining the desired frame rate.

Raytec VARIO is a unique lighting product on the market with customizable lenses that are easily slid in front of the diodes to vary the light pattern on-site and with a remote control to simplify the installation process. VARIO also features new technology to spread the light more evenly across the surveillance area and minimize the risk of overexposure in certain areas.
