Battery Backup ECO 24V 5A FLX S

The ECO series consists of reliable and smaller battery backups for use with access control systems, locking systems, and smoke vents.
The battery backups in the ECO series have controlled charging* which prevents batteries from being overcharged and significantly extends their lifespan.

The battery backup can be commissioned with only the batteries connected without the battery backup being connected to 230 V (cold start). This is practical if the mains cable is not yet installed or if the installer is not a certified electrician but still wants to test the system. The battery backup is a fixed installation and must be installed by a certified installer.

- Mounting: ECO FLX S can be mounted on a wall or in a 19″ rack.
- Installation and commissioning: Fixed installation. The unit can be tested in battery mode, (before 230 V is connected).
- Battery types: Lead-acid, AGM batteries.
- Space for optional cards: Two slots for optional cards in L-module.
- Tamper contact: Available as an option.

* Controlled charging means that the batteries are charged with a lower charging voltage to reduce wear on the battery. This means that batteries charge fully (to 100%) more slowly. A 12 V, 7.2 Ah battery will be fully charged with a maximum of 30% of 1.2 A = 2.16 Ah. If controlled charging time is needed, this is available in our EN54 series.
