8-piece PTC CTRL fuse card

Fuse card with eight 1-pole fused outputs.
The card protects electronics with PTC fuses that automatically cut off power during overload.
The fuses then reset automatically when the overload disappears.
The card can be used with both 12 V DC and 24 V DC. Each output is controllable via jumper.

• ECO S: Has no slots for optional cards.
• ECO M: Has 2 slots for optional cards.
• ECO L: Has 4 slots for optional cards.
• NEO FLX S / NOVA FLX S: Has 2 slots for optional cards.
• NEO / NOVA FLX M: Has 3 slots for optional cards.
• NEO / NOVA FLX L: Has 3 slots for optional cards.
• 19 rack module holder: Has 8 slots for optional cards.
• DIN rail via the accessory: Use the DIN module holder for mounting on a DIN rail.

What is a PTC fuse?

A PTC fuse, where “PTC” stands for “Positive Temperature Coefficient,” is a type of thermal fuse or overcurrent protection device.
These fuses are used to protect electrical circuits from overcurrent and short circuits.
The fuse works by changing its resistance property when it gets too hot due to high current.
When the current becomes too large, the temperature in the fuse increases, causing it to become less conductive and restricting the flow of current.
When the temperature in the fuse decreases, the fuse returns to its normal state, allowing current to pass as usual.
